Monday, December 28th ~ Today the Moon is in Gemini all day. You may find your attention wandering. Curiosity is piqued but it could be a challenge to focus all your energy on a single task. Asteroid Vesta squares the North Node of the Moon and Uranus squares Pallas. These transits have been noticeable for the last few days and will spill over into the early part of this week. They provide a spark of genius but could bring along a dose of madness. Overall this upcoming week is much quieter astrologically than the past month has been. Take a deep breath and get clear about your intentions for the next calendar year. The moon moves void of course at 10:01pm EST tonight. Dreams show us what past memories or problems we need to confront to move into completely new terrain.
Tuesday, December 29th ~ The moon is void until 5:29am EST, when it enters Cancer. The Full Moon in Cancer perfects at 10:28pm EST. This is one of the more sensitive moons; we could feel heightened emotions. Both positive and negative get magnified under the Cancerian lens. The Moon is in its domicile in Cancer, and so themes of home and family may play prominent parts. Think back to last summer's New Moon in Cancer on June 21st. What was going on for you then? The energy that is strong in your life right now has a very clear tie back to that date, and the intentions you had then. This could be tied into themes of mothers, motherhood, and home. Uranus enters an opposition with asteroid Eros today, which makes some more adventurous in their love affairs. This is a highly sexual transit that increases our stamina and desire. We will feel this both today and tomorrow.
Wednesday, December 30th ~ The Moon is in Cancer all day long. Today has a dreamy, otherworldly energy, with Venus and Neptune meeting in square at 5:18am EST. Uranus continues to oppose asteroid Eros. We find ourselves putting loved ones on a pedestal, and choosing to only see what we want to see. Those that try to pierce this bubble will be met with intense ire. It's best to let others live with their illusions for the next day or two rather than try to intervene (unless they are in the path of direct harm). There could be some misinformation passed around today. It is much like the feeling of being in a dream, where real-world logic might not seem to work well today. Glide through the day and enjoy the altered consciousness; you won't get trapped in this space so you might as well have fun while you're here.
Thursday, December 31st ~ The moon is void for several hours this morning / afternoon, from 8:45am until 1:58pm EST when it enters Leo. The morning brings heightened emotions. Venus is in opposition to the North Node at 9:14am EST. We may feel like blowing off responsibilities in favor of more enjoyable pursuits. Emotions are magnified but conversations about them don't really lead anywhere. Once the moon shifts into Leo this afternoon, the mood changes considerably. Suddenly we feel more ready to celebrate. It's a little unfortunate that this New Year's Eve is going to be spent in relative quarantine, as a Leo moon sure loves to party and be seen out and about on the town. Go all out with whatever you end up doing; if you're going to stay in and watch movies, make a whole night of it with a spread of delicious snacks, and wear the most luxurious pajamas imaginable. Adorn yourself in a velvet gown if you feel like it! Write a list of all the things you want to do and be in 2021, and light a candle in its honor. Fold the list and hide it until next New Year's Eve.
Friday, January 1st ~ Happy New Year! May this year bring you all that is needed for your happiness, growth, and soul's contentment and creative journey. The Moon is in Leo to start 2021, staying here all day long. Mercury and Neptune meet in sextile at 6:17am EST for the first major aspect of the New Year. This is an excellent transit for writing / poetry, playing games, and expanding the imagination. The Sun is in sextile to Ceres in Pisces as well. Ceres is the dwarf planet that rules over food / nutrition, animal welfare, and simplicity. Simplifying our living space, donating old items, or sending money to a charity are good ways to honor this transit. I will be doing a podcast episode giving a sneak preview of 2021's astrology soon.
Saturday, January 2nd & Sunday, January 3rd ~ I am condensing the weekend because there is barely anything going on in the skies today and tomorrow. The moon goes void at 5:00pm EST on Saturday and enters Virgo at 8:13pm EST. Saturday is more playful and fun with the Moon in dramatic, upbeat Leo, while Sunday is more quiet and internal with the Moon in Virgo, and useful for organizing, cleaning, or working on a quiet project. Saturday is good for whimsical, fun-loving pursuits, while Sunday is for housework or anything that requires mental concentration and focus.
