Weekly Forecast: 4/19/21 through 4/25/21

Art by Dawn Aquarius

Monday, April 19th ~ Happy Taurus season! Mercury enters Taurus at 6:28am EST and the Sun follows suit at 4:33pm EST. These transitions provide immediate grounding. Mercury will be in Taurus until May 4th, and here the planet of communication slows down considerably. Information travels at a more leisurely pace, and decisions that are thought through tend to solidify easier than those made in haste. The Sun in Taurus brings the energy of fixed earth, a steady and stable base. It is like nutrient rich soil that carries much potential for flowering. Mars joins asteroid Psyche in a conjunction in Gemini today, lasting for the next four days. This can increase our passion for learning and thinking. You may feel compelled to study, write, or increase your knowledge this week. This could lead to some mental restlessness, so ample time completing puzzles or playing games is recommended, if you're having trouble relaxing. The moon moves void of course at 8:03pm EST, where it will be until early tomorrow morning. It's a good evening for spending time at home or in the company of those that make you feel safe and comforted.

Tuesday, April 20th ~ The moon is void of course in Cancer until 2:11am EST when it enters Leo. Immediately after the moon reaches its First Quarter stage, squaring the Sun who is newly in Taurus. This acts like a catalyst. You may feel creatively inspired, or feel some tension that shakes energy off and makes you move in pursuit of a larger goal. Mars continues its conjunction with Psyche, which increases our capacity for learning and soaking in information. Asteroid Vesta stations direct today, after a lengthy retrograde which began on January 20th. Vesta rules over hearth and home and can influence our feeling of stability and sense of purpose when she is retrograde. We may have felt some shifts or changes in the past three months in relationship to our home and sense of security. Now that Vesta is direct, we can begin to put our roots down and work toward our higher purpose without distraction. If you are still in a transitory state, it becomes easier to create a sense of stability through meditation and to carry this energy in your physical body, even if it is not reflected in the external world.

Wednesday, April 21st ~ The moon is in Leo all day, creating a playful energy that makes us excited to connect with our inner child. The energy is quite light and silly today. If anything heavy is lingering for you, you may find relief through watching something funny or doing something lighthearted. Focusing on darker topics could lead no where useful today. Asteroids Ceres and Juno are in trine, Venus sextiles Sappho, and the Mars/Psyche conjunction rolls on. The Ceres/Juno trine and Leo moon strengthen the connection between humans and animals. You may find yourself wanting to spend time in nature or with a beloved pet. It is also a wonderful day for joyful creative expression. The Venus/Sappho sextile links our aesthetic eye to the higher mind for an opportunity to channel exalted creativity in a way that is fun and uplifting.

Thursday, April 22nd ~ The moon is in Leo to start the day, then moves void of course for a short window from 8:05am until 9:08am EST, when it enters Virgo. A slower, lackadaisical morning suddenly blossoms into a dedicated, focused afternoon. The asteroids interplay with the Virgo moon to sharpen and hone our mental state. Curiosity blossoms; many will be inspired to learn and improve skills in a variety of areas. You could be motivated to overhaul something and make it work better. Much of the energy centers around finding lasting ways to make our lives easier. Venus squares asteroid Eros which can create some sexual tension; if you are unable or not interested in burning that off directly, it can be done through movement and release in the form of exercise, dance, or even a good cry.

Friday, April 23rd ~ The moon is in Virgo all day, and it is the last day of the Mars/Psyche conjunction which began on Monday. This is a remarkable day for studying and absorbing information. All that you focus on is likely to be retained, or at the very least will leave a lasting impression. The brain is active, curious, and interested in learning and refining. Mars enters Cancer at 7:48am EST, where it will be until June 12th. This placement is a little tricky for Mars, who feels a bit out of his depth in such a watery sign. We may be more sensitive and empathetic while Mars transits Cancer, and our levels of physical energy ebb and flow with the tides. Arguments tend to express in a more passive aggressive manner during this transit, so be aware of this and try your best to be as direct and clear as you can. It is possible to state your needs and preferences in a way that is kind and respectful.

Saturday, April 24th ~ We begin the weekend with the moon in Virgo, void of course from 6:50am until 12:06pm EST when it enters Libra. We may wake up wanting to tidy up or work on something that requires a strong eye for detail. Once the moon is in Libra in the afternoon, we could feel more social and playful. Mercury and Uranus meet in conjunction in Taurus at 2:41am EST, which brings in sudden insights and unique ideas. Some may express themselves in strange or shocking ways. It's pretty common to hear weird things come out of the mouths of both friends and strangers during this aspect. However, many of these bizarre topics could bring inspiration or lead you down a pleasant rabbit hole. The afternoon and evening are ideal for a date or other social connection where you can chat and share ideas and interests with another person.

Sunday, April 25th ~ The moon is in Libra all day, providing a Venusian lens through which to view this Sunday. Mercury and Venus are conjunct in Taurus at 6:19pm EST, but we can feel the build up of this all day. Saturn enters into a square with both Venus (~12:21am EST) and Mercury (~7:58am EST). You could have a number of creative ideas or fun plans today, but could feel somewhat restricted and hindered by responsibility. Saturn shows up to remind us to take care of our work before we can fly free. We don't have to pay attention to Saturn here, but ignoring it could create rising feelings of guilt or worry, or this could be reflected by someone else who throws their worry at you. All of these energies can be worked through by calling to mind the Libran scales of justice in perfect balance. Balance is the key for the day; work a little, and then play. Take care of a responsibility, then start a new project. This placates Saturn and allows the day to be both productive and enjoyable.
