Monday, May 24th ~ Today is fairly simple astrologically, with few major transits in the skies overhead. The moon is in Scorpio all day, providing a desire for deep emotional exploration or the need to get to the bottom of a situation. It is easier to peer under the surface during Scorpio moons, and information of all sorts becomes attractive and alluring. Asteroid Vesta is in its final day of exact square to the North Node, which can create a sort of spiritual homesickness. This feeling could express itself as a kind of light malaise or longing, or even a sort of anticipation. Asteroids Psyche and Vesta are in sextile, which is useful for being able to bring clarity to this yearning. It is a good day for envisioning what your ideal home (earthly or otherwise) contains.
Tuesday, May 25th ~ We have the moon in Scorpio for almost the entire day. Privacy is the major theme of the day. We will probably feel like dipping out of the public eye into a safe place away from watchful eyes. The idea of having to report back to someone like a parent, supervisor, or even a friend just asking a personal question could create a sense of irritation. Mars opposes asteroid Juno, which contributes to this impatience. Feeling as though others need something from us could be overwhelming and possibly anger inducing for some. Give yourself permission to take space if needed. You may need to state a simple boundary such as "I'm not ready to talk about this now". Some positive aspects help to counteract these frustrations. Ceres trines Eros, which opens up deep love and connection to the earth. Venus trines asteroid Sappho, which is a delightful aspect for poets, writers, and other artists. Works of art blossom into life, which helps to transmute heavy feelings. The moon moves void of course from 5:20pm until 10:40pm EST when it enters Sagittarius. The evening has a lighter energy, although we may still desire space and freedom to act without consulting someone else. Tomorrow morning we have the Full Moon in Sagittarius, which is also a Lunar Eclipse. Dreams could bring us to faraway lands and distant vistas of the mind.
Wednesday, May 26th ~ Happy Full Flower Blood Moon / Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius (whew...)! This perfects at 7:13am EST. The eclipse itself will be visible in the early hours of morning for those on the west coast of the US and will be completely visible for those in Hawaii, New Zealand, and other Pacific islands. Even if you can't view it where you are, you will certainly be able to feel it. This is the closest full moon to Earth that we will experience this year. The Sagittarian full moon brings excitement and an abundance of energy. You may find yourself restless for change and the next stage of your journey. There is a direct link between today's moon and the New Moon back on December 14th. What beliefs were you looking to shed back then? Where in your life did you desire more freedom and understanding? You may be able to see some of these intentions coming alive beneath the Flower Moon today. Lunar Eclipses are powerful portals into the tides. Open yourself up to the flow and the life-giving powers of water. As it interacts with the fire of Sagittarius, there is power to change and move even the most stagnant energy. Sagittarian moons remind us that many limitations are due to our perceptions, and by expanding our belief in ourselves, we can alchemize anything. More info on this full moon can be heard in today's podcast episode.
Thursday, May 27th ~ The moon is in Sagittarius for the majority of the day, bringing in the spirit of optimism and adventure. It could be hard to concentrate on one project, and you might have better luck if you allow yourself to move between a few. Let your joy guide you. What do you have the most energy to work on? Venus and Neptune are in square today, perfecting at 3:24pm EST. This taps us into the spiritual realm and can allow us to channel unique visions in our creative endeavors. It can also tune us to feel so in harmony with someone we love or care for that it may seem you are a single entity. This can be deep and transformative, but can also make it difficult to focus on physical world concerns. Grounding exercises are useful today to keep one foot in this realm. All of this is exaggerated due to Chiron's square to Psyche, and Neptune and Pallas in conjunction. These asteroid aspects continue over the next two days and can lead us out of the agreed upon reality into somewhere beyond. While this can create major creative breakthroughs and help us to maneuver through long standing roadblocks in our lives, it can also make us feel a bit disconnected from those who are not so aware. Chiron square Psyche in particular brings healing through exploration of rarely used brain functions. It is especially helpful for those who suffer from mental illness. If someone says something to you that sounds really out there, try your best to be compassionate and not shut them down immediately. By allowing them a chance to express without judgement, you open both them and you up for immense healing. This Chiron transit acts as a mirror; anything that shows up in your reality over the next couple days has a micro-macro effect. If you are noticing it in someone else, there is some part of it that is calling to be addressed inside yourself. The moon is void of course for the second half of the day, from 1:35pm until 10:24pm EST as it enters Capricorn.
Friday, May 28th ~ The moon is in Capricorn all day, which helps to bring some stability to the somewhat far out aspects we're experiencing at present. Capricorn moons allow us to focus without being too bogged down by emotion. All of yesterday's asteroid aspects roll on: Chiron square Psyche, Neptune conjunct Pallas, and Psyche sextile Vesta. Deep inspiration comes through meditation and connection to the higher creative mind. Ideas come down as though transposed from another dimension. Deep healing comes through exploring the brain and its many functions. The Chiron/Psyche square allows us to see mental illness or other brain issues with expanded compassion and understanding. This aspect is always a mirror. Judgement of others shows a similar thread to what you see in them in your own consciousness. Kindness and compassion helps to foster the same in your own experience. This is always true, but especially so today.
Saturday, May 29th ~ The moon is in Capricorn all day long. The first half of the day is buoyant and optimistic. We have Mercury conjuncting Venus in Gemini at 1:11am EST, which allows us to communicate our feelings with loved ones in a clear and gentle manner. It is also an excellent transit for creative pursuits. Mercury stations retrograde at 6:35pm EST at 24 degrees Gemini. This retrograde lasts until June 22nd. We enter into the final phase of the Mercury cycle we began on February 8th. Ideas that began as small seeds during that time are now being reviewed and contemplated. For the next week and a half, we are encouraged to ruminate in an introspective way. A new Mercury cycle begins on June 10th, and with it will come renewed energy and a fresh approach. The moon moves void of course at 6:15pm EST, and it will be void for the remainder of the day until just after midnight. Flashes of inspiration come throughout the day thanks to Uranus' sextile to asteroid Psyche and trine to asteroid Vesta. We may find ourselves excited to move in unexpected directions.
Sunday, May 30th ~ The moon is void of course in Capricorn for five minutes this morning, before entering Aquarius at 12:05am EST. We may feel as though we are viewing a situation from above today. It can be easier to detach and see things from a larger perspective. The asteroid aspects for the day encourage eclectic thought. The air crackles with the electricity of genius. Inventions and radically new solutions come to light. Psyche sextiles Vesta, Uranus sextiles Psyche and trines Vesta, and Mars trines Pallas. Not only are ideas coming, but we can easily channel the energy to see them through. We all become like mad scientists today, with bubbling potions and beakers. It is not a good day for careful planning, as improvisation rules the skies today. Fly free and see what you are inspired to move toward.
