Weekly Forecast: 9/13/21 through 9/19/21

Monday, September 13th ~ The moon is in Sagittarius all day, lending a playful energy to an otherwise packed sky. This morning, we have the moon trining Chiron (12:07am) and sextiling Mercury (10:30am EST), which gives us the desire to discuss theories and ideas at length. While our intention may not be to get down to the root of a problem but rather to delight in the curiosity of exploring a concept with another, these transits ensure that healing takes place regardless. The moon reaches its First Quarter at 4:39pm EST, with the Sun and Moon in exact square. This acts as a catalyst to move us onto the next stage. We could feel a restlessness take over around this time. This evening, the moon continues its busy day, squaring Neptune at 5:33pm and sextiling Jupiter at 9:37pm EST. We seek to experience things directly, and may prefer to leap into a project hands on rather than staying in a theoretical place. In addition, asteroid Ixion's retrograde ends today. Ixion is the rebel of the asteroids, representing independence, freedom from authority, and a cool detachment. In some ways it could be considered a secondary ruler for Aquarius. Ixion has been retrograde since April, and as it stations direct we may find our need to rebel without cause receding. While Ixion is retrograde we may get riled up about things and seek to find ways to separate ourselves from the crowd in order to service the ego. It requires a good deal of willpower to counteract this. With Ixion now direct again at 29 degrees Sagittarius, we begin to see through this thick energy. It is easier to find ways to humble ourselves and unify with others. Interestingly, Ixion is currently conjunct the Galactic Center, which suggests its themes and archetypes are playing out for most souls across the galaxy right now.

Tuesday, September 14th ~ We begin the day with the moon in Sagittarius, squaring Mars at 6:57am EST and then moving void of course for a 36 minute window. The morning brings a desire for expansion and freedom, and we could feel resentful of plans mucking up our day. The Sun and Neptune oppose one another at 5:20am EST which allows for a sort of gentle optimism. This transit allows you to create your own view of reality and superimpose it over this one, which can either be good or potentially harmful depending on what your creation looks like. The moon ingresses Capricorn at 7:34am EST and the void period ends. Teamwork and groupwork is encouraged over the late morning and afternoon as the moon builds to a sextile with Venus at 3:20am EST. Harmony in groups as you work toward a unified goal is a big theme for the day. Mars is potentially unstable today as it rests at the brink of 29 degrees Virgo, creating bursts of energy that feel chaotic or intense. This dissolves at 8:13pm EST as Mars ingresses Libra, where it will be until October 30th. Mars is considered in its detriment here; Mars is an action-taking planet while Libra tends to be more indecisive and diplomatic. The energies don't meld harmoniously. The best way to utilize this time is to take responsibility for things and to step up to make a decision. This may require being clear about your wants, needs, and boundaries. Waffling can create more conflict during Mars' stay in Libra.

Wednesday, September 15th ~ Today the moon is in Capricorn all day, and is especially active. There are few other transits going on in the sky so we will focus primarily on the moon today. We begin the day with a moon/Chiron square at 3:15am and a moon/Uranus trine at 8:30am EST. These morning hours are marked by a desire to work toward a specific goal and to break out of the mold. We feel a need to accomplish something that sets us apart from a previous version of ourselves. Later in the day, the moon squares Mercury at 5:40pm and sextiles Neptune at 9:01pm EST. Ideas come out easily through inspired work and production, while conversations could leave us feeling more confused. Communication can be helpful, provided it is not emotional in nature. Heartfelt conversations will be easier tomorrow.

Thursday, September 16th ~ The day begins with the moon in Capricorn, trining the Sun at 12:06am EST and beginning its Waxing Gibbous phase. Enthusiasm and excitement builds; we may lean into the Jester archetype and enjoy being especially playful. The moon and Pluto reach a conjunction at 1:39am EST; despite the happy energy of the Sun/Moon trine, if you need to discuss emotional topics at length with someone, today is a good day for it. Pluto allows for deep focus and a desire to see below the surface and accept what is there. The moon is void from 1:40am until 11:23am EST as it ingresses Aquarius. At this point we are able to view things from a bird's eye view, getting a full picture of what lies before us. The moon trines Mars at 1:18pm and trines the North Node at 7:24pm EST. The astrology for today is especially benefic and generous. These transits give us strength and encouragement to move in the direction of our soul's purpose. Tonight the Sun in Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn at 9:52pm EST, strengthening leadership roles and allowing for decisive action. You may find yourself going through a necessary and pleasant transformation.

Friday, September 17th ~ The moon is in airy Aquarius all day, giving us zaps of mental stimulation and new ideas that arise out of cloudlike shapes. The moon squares Venus at 12:02am and conjuncts Saturn at 12:13am EST, then Venus and Saturn square each other at 2:14am EST. This all adds up to wanting some time to yourself, away from responsibility and the interruptions of others. Today is extremely mental and imagination based, and better for tinkering around and dreaming up new possibilities rather than being social or working with others. The moon sextiles Chiron at 7:18am and squares Uranus at 12:44pm EST, providing healing through allowing yourself to ride thought waves and ideas. Follow a thought down a rabbit hole to something new. These thoughts are more possibility-based rather than emotional. The evening is free from transits, giving us some time to clean the slate. Tomorrow is equally quiet, which brings along some rest and relaxation.

Saturday, September 18th ~ The Aquarian moon trines Mercury this morning at 1:36am and enters a conjunction with Jupiter at 5:14am EST before moving void of course at 5:15am. These are the only major aspects of the day until the moon ingresses Pisces at 4:22pm EST. We get an astrological vacation today! The energy of the morning provides curiosity and sociability, but later dissolves into a deep need for rest and recuperation in the afternoon. Once the moon is in Pisces, you may feel a surge of physical energy, or depending on your own transits, you may continue to want to take it easy. The evening brings a strong connection to oceanic currents, and the creatures of the sea.

Sunday, September 19th ~ We have the moon in dreamy Pisces all day, squaring the North and South Nodes just after midnight at 12:02am EST. Here we take a little detour from doing evolutionary work and enjoy playing and spending time enjoying this Earth we call our home. The dolphins are on a similar frequency, so meditating on them or visiting the sea are good ways to interact with this feeling today. Later, the moon trines Venus at 10:25am and sextiles Uranus at 6:25pm EST. Deep harmony and love for all around us is easier to tap into today. We may find new and unique pathways of feeling growing out of our heartspaces as the afternoon light fades into dusk.
