Tuesday, April 19th ~ Today we welcome in Taurus season! To begin, we have the moon in Sagittarius all day, creating a need for adventure and exploration, even if it is just through the means we have available to us. The moon squares Mars at 3:29am EST, which makes for a restless start to the day. We could feel a lot of pent up energy that seeks release. As the Sun rests at 29 degrees Aries, this is intensified. Bouncing off the walls is likely an understatement. The moon trines Chiron at 8:22pm EST, allowing for healing of limiting beliefs. We can more easily let go of constricting thoughts which keep us from achieving our full potential. The Sun moves into Taurus at 10:24pm EST, and the season of the bull officially begins. Taurus is fixed earth, representing the full bloom of spring in the Northern hemisphere and deep autumnal beauty in the Southern. Ruled by Venus, Taureans are connected to the five senses and enjoy taking in the world around them as though it is an aesthetic feast. As they are fixed in modality, they tend to move at their own pace, preferring to remain unrushed and unbothered by outside intrusion.
Wednesday, April 20th ~ The Sagittarian moon squares Venus to start the day at 12:32am, ushering in an impatient energy that finds us seeking connection with others but at the same time trying to remain staunchly independent. The moon goes on to sextile Saturn at 1:18pm and square Neptune at 2:19pm EST. Responsibilities must be tackled, but we will do better today if we add a little fun into the mix. Finding ways to make routine tasks more enjoyable will allow for greater productivity and overall pleasantry. The moon squares Jupiter at 4:55pm EST and we could notice scattered emotions and a strong unwillingness to face up to heavier sensations in the emotional field. The moon is void of course from 4:56pm until it enters Capricorn at 11:52pm EST. This rather lengthy void is perfect for spinning into a daydream or going on a long walk. Once the moon is in Capricorn, we are apt to feel more solid and settle into a deep groove.
Thursday, April 21st ~ The moon is in Capricorn all day, beginning by trining the Sun and ushering in its Waning Gibbous phase at 1:42am EST. This is a time for reflection. We turn inward to assess the previous month's moon cycle and could feel as though we are taking stock of what we have accomplished during this time. The moon sextiles Mars at 7:52am EST, which puts us on a productive track to check off many items on our to-do lists. It could be a bit harder to sink into softer, more emotional vibrations today. We don't really feel we have the time to slow down and get too caught up in our psyche or the more abstract feelings under the surface. Instead, today's energy is more about objectivity and building foundations brick by brick. We may not see the results today but will likely feel inspired to work on constructing them into this reality.
Friday, April 22nd ~ The moon is in Capricorn for another full day, but today's energy is more open and soft than yesterday's. A sextile to Venus at 5:42am and a trine to Mercury at 11:13am see the Capricorn moon becoming more gentle and proud. We may feel compelled to look out for those around us and care for them by providing guidance and advice. The moon trines the North Node of the ecliptic at 1:48pm and sextiles Neptune at 4:37pm EST. Going with the flow is recommended for this section of the day. Imagination guides us into amazing, shimmering (though unpredictable) waters. Let go of expectations and see what arises. The moon sextiles Jupiter at 7:58pm and conjuncts Pluto at 11:52pm EST before moving void of course for over two hours. These transits allow for laser focus and simultaneous expansion of thoughts and beliefs. We can achieve much in the inner plane today. Saturday, April 23rd ~ The moon is void of course in Capricorn until 2:17am EST when it enters Aquarius. The Last Quarter phase is initiated when the moon squares the Sun at 7:56am EST. It is time for shedding and for letting go of all material things that are holding us back. We can look at situations from a more removed place and can better see what will benefit us the most. Getting rid of things around the house can feel especially cathartic. Mercury conjuncts the North Node in Taurus at 12:27pm EST. Pay attention to sudden ideas and insights that pop up in your mind around the hour of this transit. They are likely quite karmic in nature and can bring along wonderful opportunities, either right away or somewhere down the line if you follow their winding threads.
Sunday, April 24th ~ The moon is in Aquarius all day, creating a strong desire to see marked change in the world that benefits all people. The moon sextiles Chiron at 1:40am EST, increasing compassion and motivation to shift the world to a more utopian plane. Some will be very picky about how things are worded, spelled, or conveyed. Others could feel frustration at being edited or told how to communicate. These transits allow for expanded telepathy and ability to float away from more restricting logic into abstract terrain.
