Monday, April 25th ~ Today starts off with the moon void of course until 6:14am EST, when it enters Pisces. The energy is soft and dreamlike and lends itself well to imaginative fancies and playful creativity. The moon sextiles the Sun at 4:08pm EST and enters its Waning Crescent phase. As we ease toward next weekend's dark moon, we notice we need more rest and time to recuperate from social interaction. The moon conjuncts Mars at 8:51pm EST, which intensifies our ability to turn dreams into reality. We could have a burst of increased stamina around this hour. Mercury sextiles the North Node at 11:39pm EST to close out the day. This a communicative aspect that allows a clear envisioning of what is needed for our karmic development. We will likely feel compelled to share feelings, ideas, and hopes with those around us. Writers receive a boost from this aspect, getting an increased clarity of mind and voice.
Tuesday, April 26th ~ The moon is in dreamy Pisces all day, allowing for deep emotional exploration and the softening of boundaries. The energy of others becomes easier to sense. The moon sextiles Uranus in Taurus at 7:39am EST, allowing more room for change. It is easier to flow with events today and not feel the need to keep tight control over their unfoldment. The moon sextiles its North Node at 10:36pm EST, approaching the place where it is furthest away from the Earth. A big theme for today is understanding which emotions are yours, and which belong to others. It can feel as if everything is blending and merging like a watercolor. This gentle lunar aspect allows for the ability to see your true path and to untangle messy knots that are preventing you from growing in that direction.
Wednesday, April 27th ~ This is the busiest astrological day of the week. The day begins with the Pisces moon conjuncting Venus at 12:49am EST for a dreamy lovefest. Compassion increases and feelings of deep adoration come through with more ease. Mercury and Jupiter meet in sextile at 1:11am EST, which expands our ability to communicate. Optimistic conversation flows and ideas are tossed around readily for the remainder of the day. The moon conjuncts Neptune at 2:01am and conjuncts Jupiter at 7:07am EST; this series of Piscean contacts allows us to dream big and set lofty goals for ourselves. We could easily slip into fantasy; today's transits are all quite pleasant but definitely removed from cold, hard reality. The moon sextiles Mercury at 7:35am and sextiles Pluto at 9:35am EST, allowing increased focus and a deep, penetrative intuition that lets us see beyond the surface and even beyond the veil. The moon is void of course from 9:36am until it enters Aries at 12:09pm EST. This period is good for resting up, taking a nap, or giving yourself permission to do something fun all for yourself. Venus and Neptune conjunct in Pisces at 3:11pm EST. This is the last transit of the day and is a gentle, sweet planetary contact. We will feel more tender and wish to merge our energy with that of another. It's a nice day for beautifying your home, self, or creating art.
Thursday, April 28th ~ The moon is in fiery Aries all day, increasing enthusiasm and drive. You may notice a growing impatience to get moving as the day goes on. Mercury and Pluto trine at 8:04am EST, each in earth signs. Conversations lead to deep understanding. It's a good day for business interactions and drawing up contracts, as it is the last full day with no planets in retrograde. The moon conjuncts Chiron at 1:51pm EST. In the sign of Aries, these planetary bodies allow for physical healing. Spend time listening to your body and its needs, and do something which invites health into your life. Drink more water, treat yourself to a delicious and nutritious meal, or do an exercise which you enjoy. Give yourself a compliment!
Friday, April 29th ~ The Aries moon sextiles Saturn at 9:15am EST to kick off the day. Personal responsibility enters into our field of awareness. You may feel compelled to work hard or to discipline yourself in some form. If others around you are slacking it could be especially annoying. Pluto stations retrograde at 28 degrees Capricorn today at 2:35pm EST, officially kicking off retrograde season. The planet of shadow and transformation will travel back to 26 degrees Capricorn, with a retrograde lasting until October 8th. Pluto spends six months of every year in retrograde, so we are no strangers to this energy. This period gives us a glimpse of our shadow self. The shadow is that part of ourselves we hide from others or that which we have some shame or guilt around. Some people have intense, deep shadow selves while others have only slight shadows, like those created on a sunny summer day. No matter the depth of your shadows, the point of Pluto retrograde is to meet this part of yourself and integrate it into your personality. As the lord of the underworld, Pluto is adept at helping us to do this work. This time also lets us see into others' shadows with more ease. The more we can meet these without judgment, the easier this period will be. The moon squares retrograde Pluto at 5:38pm and then moves void of course until 8:18pm EST, when it enters Taurus. We prefer to focus on pleasantries and keep our emotions high and light. The void period is good for listening to a podcast or focusing intently on learning.
Saturday, April 30th ~ The moon is in steady, patient Taurus all day and is in its dark phase, creeping toward a New Moon and Solar Eclipse which will hit at 4:28pm EST. This New Moon in Taurus begins a new macro moon phase which will unfold over the next year. This is a great day for setting intentions around finances, home, and personal possessions. What would you like to manifest over the next six months? By the Taurus Full Moon on November 8th, many of these desires will blossom. That is not to say that results won't be visible before then, but the energetic cycle will be at its peak on that date. Today's New Moon takes place at 10 degrees Taurus, in the second decan. This decan is ruled by Mercury and activates the higher mind. The Solar Eclipse adds power to the shadow. Here we receive the ability to go inward and look at our desires in a bare, stripped down way without all the bells and whistles. This could feel great or it could be very intense, if you have tried to deceive yourself at all over the past year. The moon sextiles Mars at 7:23pm EST, firing us up and giving necessary drive to achieve and accomplish. Remember to take time to rest. Light a candle and focus on the things you wish to shed in the home and financial sector of your life.
Sunday, May 1st ~ Happy May Day! The moon is in Taurus all day, deepening our connection with Mother Earth and all the flora and fauna. The moon conjuncts Uranus at 12:24am EST, increasing intuition but not in any way we can control. Feelings and impressions float down randomly and emotions could shift quickly, like a hologram. Venus and Pluto meet in sextile at 6:37am EST, which intensifies our focus on romantic partners or creative projects. The moon conjuncts its North Node at 3:53pm EST and is as far away from the Earth as it can possibly get at this point. We are aligned with our karmic destiny and are being guided toward it by all cosmic forces. Let go of resistance and keep an open mind. The moon squares Saturn at 7:32pm and sextiles Neptune at 8:04pm EST. This period of the day and night is best suited for relaxation and play. Trying to work too hard or keep your mind intensely focused can result in frustration. That said, brainstorming ideas is well supported by these celestial transits, provided you keep it fun and light.
