Weekly Forecast: 4/24/23 through 4/30/23

Monday, April 24th ~ Today begins with the Gemini moon sextiling Jupiter at 4:48am EST, igniting our curiosity and need to follow an idea down the deepest rabbit hole. The Sun conjuncts the North Node at 7:00am EST; this transit happens once a year and connects us to our highest goals. It becomes easier to shine light on the things we want, and recognize what is no longer serving us. The moon squares Neptune at 8:14am and then moves void of course until 2:58pm EST when it enters Cancer. This void period can get us lost in thought and daydreams and may create some mental confusion or fog. Once the moon is in Cancer, our intuition sharpens and we could feel more connected to our emotions. The moon sextiles the North Node at 10:48pm EST, bringing more of an inner knowing when it comes to the revelations that took place earlier earlier during the Sun/North Node conjunction. This is an added cherry on top that allows you to see the big picture of what your soul is needing.

Tuesday, April 25th ~ The moon is in deep, watery Cancer all day, entering its Waxing Crescent phase at 12:10am EST. The Waxing Crescent indicates a sextile between the Sun and Moon, a gentle and harmonious aspect that allows our emotions and actions to link up more. We can feel more anticipatory, excited, and focused on dreaming about the future during the Waxing Crescent phase. The moon trines Saturn at 12:39am EST, which allows for deeper focus. We could feel a sense of duty or need to complete a task that dominates our thoughts. The Sun sextiles Saturn at 6:47am EST, a transit we feel all day long. This is excellent for allowing us to take ambitious action and can aid us in accomplishing much today. Hard work brings a sense of peace and relief. The moon sextiles retrograde Mercury later on at 7:46pm EST; an emotional understanding comes over us, even if we don't logically comprehend a situation there is a deeper knowing at play. Venus sextiles Chiron at 7:50pm EST which is an amazing aspect for healing in relationships. We work through problems with the help of others, and can do better talking things out and being vulnerable rather than trying to do it all on our own. Finally, the moon conjuncts Mars at 11:08pm EST. This intensifies emotions and can make anger rise to the surface. This combined with the Venus/Chiron sextile can be very cathartic and healing, if we can share our frustrations in a productive manner rather than just taking them out on others.

Wednesday, April 26th ~ We have a second full day with the moon in dreamy, intuitive Cancer. It kicks off with the moon squaring Chiron at 12:32am EST. Pay attention to your dreams upon waking; they could be more intense than usual but likely carry important messages related to emotions and subtle energetic undercurrents. The moon sextiles Uranus at 2:45am EST which emphasizes a need for emotional freedom and desire to improve circumstances. Later on, the moon squares Jupiter at 5:09pm and trines Neptune at 7:40pm EST before moving void of course until tomorrow. Soft, spiritual energies rule the evening. We can easily become overstimulated and distracted so it can be helpful to limit outside intrusions and rest up, light a candle, meditate, or do some other grounding spiritual ritual. Tomorrow is the peak of a Mars/Chiron square that has been building and can create some tension and body pain if we don't take things slow and be kind to ourselves.

Thursday, April 27th ~ The moon is void of course until 2:29am EST when it enters Leo. This brings a more social energy to the day, where we want to be seen, noticed, and appreciated. Today's astrology is quite tense and difficult, so it is important to be mindful and share kindness with others as much as you can. The moon opposes Pluto at 3:13am EST which can bring up power struggles and a need to dominate a conversation or feel as though you have the upper hand. Mars squares Chiron at 9:34am EST, a transit we have felt building all week and will feel dissipating throughout the weekend. This transit brings a deep desire to prove yourself as strong, capable, and secure. This can result in one upping others, taking on monumental tasks just to impress people, and getting angry when others step in to help. Risk taking in this manner can result in strains and stress to the body. Be gentle with self and practice being vulnerable. When you feel this need to show off building up today, take a step back and think what it is you really need. This is usually a mask that comes up when we feel we are lacking appreciation or love. We may feel like we need to be impressive or strong to get it, or to show that we're just fine without it. The more we can unravel these guarded thoughts, the more healing can enter. The moon goes on to square its Nodes at 10:34am and then enter its First Quarter phase at 5:19pm EST. We can feel somewhat stuck in the mud, unsure of where to turn, but we feel a mounting pressure to do something... anything! Rather than pushing yourself to complete an astronomical task, chip away at something small that brings a sense of progress and accomplishment.

Friday, April 28th ~ The moon is in proud, fiery Leo all day, bringing a need for color, connection with the inner child, and playful energy. The moon squares retrograde Mercury at 5:44am EST, which can make conversations seem to go in circles. We say a lot by saying little today. Overexplaining only complicates matters further. The moon trines Chiron at 1:10pm EST; by having fun and delighting in the joys of the inner child, we enter a space of healing. Wear a bright color, go get a delicious snack, or enjoy an activity you used to love when you were young. The moon squares Uranus at 3:25pm and sextiles Venus at 7:41pm EST. An emotional surprise could occur but this could actually be quite pleasant and help a relationship to grow. It's a good evening for spending time with friends or loved ones.

Saturday, April 29th ~ Today begins with the Leo moon trine Jupiter at 6:52am EST, an emotionally open transit which ignites our need to give and share love. We could feel more openhearted and generous with our time and energy. The moon is void of course for a good portion of the day, from 6:53am until it enters Virgo at 2:59pm EST. This void period allows for creativity and exploration without expectation. Create just for the sheer joy of it, rather than worrying about the final result or how it could be monetized later on. Mars sextiles Uranus today at 4:04pm EST, a transit we have felt building since about Wednesday, and will continue to feel until midweek. This is an adventurous transit which carries us out of our comfort zone. We want to expend energy, and we may find we have more energy than normal. You might take a chance tonight, or do something quite out of the ordinary. Others gravitate toward high excitement situations during this time. Finally, the moon trines the North Node at 11:02pm EST. The Virgo moon is disciplined, organized, and humble. It allows us to bring a sense of order to goals and ambitions, and can be helpful in structuring out a plan.

Sunday, April 30th ~ The last day of the month has the moon in Virgo all day, an ideal time for doing a physical and energetic cleanse of ourselves and our space. Meditate, take an intentional shower or bath, clean your surroundings and do a cleanse of the energy with music or sacred smoke. The moon opposes Saturn at 1:41am EST which can make us a little hard on ourselves as far as what goals we have met or what we still need to get underway. The moon enters its Waxing Gibbous phase at 10:59am EST which is a highly optimistic time that is social, excitable, and dwells on possibility. Try to look at that which is yet to be done as something fun, even if it doesn't seem that way. Maybe you make the task more enjoyable by listening to music, or rewarding yourself with something once it is complete. The moon trines retrograde Mercury at 3:05pm EST, which is helpful for honest, grounded communication. You may have better luck talking with others today, as the confusion of Mercury retrograde is cut through somewhat by this transit.
