August 19 - 25

EARLY WEEK

Monday, August 19th is one of the busiest astrological days we’ve seen in months. We start the day with Venus forming a square with Jupiter at 1:52am EST, followed by an opposition to Saturn at 4:29am. These aspects might make it challenging to stay motivated with work, chores, or tasks. With so many dramatic shifts in the sky, maintaining discipline could be difficult as these transits tend to encourage overindulgence and ego-driven decisions. The opposition between Venus and Saturn may bring limitations or delays in finances and romantic pursuits. It’s a good day to pause and examine our motivations before taking action. At 12:45pm, the Sun squares Uranus, which could lead to impulsivity or rebellious behavior. We’re encouraged to slow down, take deep breaths, and stay grounded. The Full Moon in Aquarius peaks at 2:25pm, offering a great opportunity for manifesting changes in friendships, meeting like-minded people, and engaging in charitable activities. The Full Moon's magic lights the way and assists in getting involved and working toward the changes you want to see in the world. Later, Jupiter squares Saturn at 5:46pm, a transit that’s been building for over a week and will persist through the end of August. This aspect might create tension between the desire for relaxation and fun versus the need to commit to long-term goals and work hard. Professional success is possible, but it may require extra effort. Finally, the Moon moves into Pisces at 6:51pm, where it will stay until Wednesday evening. The intense energy of Monday will carry over into Tuesday, making us more emotional, sensitive, and in search of comfort and escape.

LATE WEEK

Happy Virgo Season! On Wednesday the 21st, the Moon shifts into fiery Aries at 7:01pm EST, where it will remain until Friday night. The Moon in Aries offers an opportunity to process emotions more quickly through exercise and movement. It’s an excellent time for outdoor adventures or for working through pent-up emotions with a massage or deep stretching. On Thursday the 22nd, the Sun enters Virgo at 10:55am, marking the start of Virgo Season. This mutable earth season wraps up summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Virgo Season is associated with harvest and is a good time for counting our blessings and refining our physical space. Paring down belongings, cleansing our environment, and acquiring special items for our home can reduce mental clutter. Finding a personal focus or purpose can be particularly helpful now. Virgo energy is all about refining, improving, and analyzing. It’s a time to address the details of our lives and reduce both physical and mental clutter to facilitate growth. Later on Thursday, Venus forms a square with Mars at 11:20pm, which might make us more prone to annoyance and quick to anger. Impulsive thoughts and actions, especially regarding communication or spending, could arise. Be mindful and take some time to sort through emotions before interacting with loved ones.

WEEKEND

On Friday the 23rd, Mercury trines Chiron at 8:20am EST before moving void-of-course for over 11 hours. This may lead to revisiting old conversations or relationships, either directly or in our minds, potentially bringing peace or closure. The void-of-course period is ideal for quieting the mind and connecting with our bodies. The Moon enters Taurus at 8:00pm and reaches its Waning Gibbous phase at 10:22pm. Spirits may lift, bringing a surge of gratitude. Focusing on this positivity can enhance healing. On Saturday, Mercury sextiles Mars at 12:30am, sparking new ideas and increasing mental activity. This aspect helps with sharp thinking and agile responses. Later, Mars sextiles Chiron at 2:33pm, a transit we've been feeling building for almost a week and will continue to experience through next week. This is a great time for physical healing and connecting with the body from a new perspective. Increased vitality and confidence in taking action are likely. On Sunday the 25th, the Moon enters Gemini at 11:03pm, where it will stay until Wednesday morning. Gemini Moon days are ideal for research, intellectual games, and discussing feelings from an analytical perspective.
